December 23, 2023What Are Veneers?
Dental veneers are a treatment method that can correct tooth deformities, gaps between teeth, and other imperfections.
Dental veneers can also be defined as thin shells that are bonded to the front of the teeth to give them a more aesthetic appearance. Mostly, veneers are used on the front teeth to improve the appearance of the teeth.
What Are the Different Types of Dental Veneers?
Porcelain Veneers
A porcelain veneer is a thin, structural type of porcelain made using a special bonding technique. Porcelain veneers, which are made to change the color, shape, and position of teeth, are especially preferred for front teeth and greatly enhance the aesthetic appearance of the teeth.
Composite Veneers
This is a type of veneers designed to correct dental defects using composite resin created to match the color, size, and shape of your own teeth. It is widely used in various dental procedures such as composite veneers and dental bonding.
Zirconia Veneers
Zirconia veneers are characterized by light transmission, so teeth covered with zirconia material look much more aesthetically pleasing. Zirconia veneers can be preferred for front and side teeth.
E-max Veneers
E-max veneers are made of very thin, translucent lithium glass-ceramic. Emax veneer varieties can be used to correct tooth color, tooth shape, or to mask an imbalance or gap between teeth.
Lumineers
Lumineer veneers are derived from composite or dental porcelain, a quick method that involves applying a thin protective layer to the surface of the tooth. Lumineers require no tooth grinding, have a similar texture to teeth, and are resistant to stains and pigmentation.
